Capturing Marie Aull's Legacy: From Garden Sanctuary to Inspirational Artwork
Fine Art Photography At Aullwood Gardens In Dayton, Ohio
Marie Aull wanted to donate her 40-acre garden to the National Audubon Society. The Audubon Society turned the garden into the first educational center outside New York or California. It is now the national educational center for The Audubon Society.
Marie Aull Lived At The Garden Until She Was 104
Marie Aull’s only condition was to be allowed to live in the garden until her death. She lived to be 104. Marie oversaw the planting and maintenance of the garden. She also put note cards with quotes from philosophers and the Bible on the community bulletin board.
Inspired by Hand Written Notecards
This series of photographs was inspired by handwritten notecards. I used these notecards to create photographs that matched and combined with each other.
